Markings: On the bottom of the lower receiver, in front of the magazine well, marked “MOD: NDS-3 CAL: 7.62×39 DC INDUSTRIES INC. ST. PAUL MN. USA SN: 3007857”. Right side of the receiver marked “F” and “S” next to the safety selector bar. Back side of the dust cover is marked, “S-AU0485. Left side of receiver marked with “1980S-AU0845”. The slanted muzzle brake is marked, “TAPCO”. The underside of the rear sight is marked, “AD0845”.
Barrel Length: 16.25” reverse threaded. 17.25” with slant muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post iron sight with protective wings. The rear is an adjustable “u” notch leaf sight marked “1-10” and “P”.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The metal receiver is NoDak with Romanian wood 2 piece furniture. The lower handguard is a Romanian Reverse Dong. The buttstock has a trap door that holds its original cleaning kit. There is minimal wear visible on the stock including a very small surface level nick on the left side of the Dong. The pistol grip is an impregnated bakelite grip with checkering. The muzzle brake is a Tapco slant brake. The LOP measures 12.75” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fixed buttstock. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Two Romanian 30rd 7.62×39 magazines in overall Good Condition. One Romanian 75rd Drum magazine in Good condition. (Please see photos)

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is minimal to no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its finish. The balance of the finish shows some wear on the right side of the receiver where the safety lever slides and some scratches just in front. The rear right side of the dust cover has some paint loss near the edges as well. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Let’s go retro! This NoDak NDS-3 is an AK-47 clone that offers modern style and slick technology all in one package using original Romanian parts. Beginning in 2005, a small firearms manufacturing firm by the name of NoDak Spud introduced AK receivers for parts-kit builders. As far as we can tell,this build was made with original Romanian parts including the highly desired reverse dong in the Ak world. This is a great version of the Kalashnikov AK47. Sure the NoDak receivers have been known to have some ups and some downs when it comes to their builds, but take it upon yourself to add this AK variant to your collection and tame it for a great range experience. This firearm packs a serious punch and potential for self-defense, target practice, hunting, or just general fun-having. If you want versatility and power, this is the gun for you!
