Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “BEFORE USING GUN – READ WARNINGS IN / INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM / STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. / SOUTHPORT, CONNECTICUT. U.S.A.”, with the Ruger Phoenix and “RUGER CARBINE”. The right side of the receiver is marked “480-15704”, “.40 AUTO”. The bottom of the magazines have a Ruger Logo. Both sides of the buttstock are marked “RUGER”.
Barrel Length: 16”.
Sights / Optics: The top of the receiver is configured for Ruger Scope Mounts. The front sight is a fixed blade between two protective ears. The rear sight is an adjustable peep sight set between two protective wings that has been screwed to the top of the receiver.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is checkered synthetic with checkered semi-pistol grip, straight comb, with sling studs, and rubber buttpad. The length of pull is 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock has surface scratches and scuffs from handling and use. There are no chips or cracks, the checkering is sharp. Overall the stock rates in Good Condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Three Ruger Factory .40 Cal 10rd magazines in Good condition. This is one of the earlier variants of the rifle and it does not accept Glock Magazines.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. The feed ramp is smooth with only a few marks from copper. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light signs of previous operation. There are some small patches of surface rust on the receiver and the barrel has some drag lines on the left and right hand side. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Good To Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a total of three magazines and a speedloader.
