Markings: Left side of the barrel is marked “308 REM” Left side of the receiver is marked “680-42043 RUGER GUNSITE SCOUT”. Barrel is marked “BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM RUGER, NEWPORT NH U.S.A.” The top of the rear of the bolt is marked “SAFE”. The internal magazine well is marked with the Ruger logo.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a protected blade sight, there is no rear sight. The rifle has a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x-24 scope. The sight picture is clear.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a checkered black polymer full length stock with traditional checkered and pistol grip, straight comb, 2 sling studs, and rubber buttplate. The stock rates in Excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are some faint scratches on the left side of the buttstock and right side of the stock. The checkering is crisp.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows very minimal wear. There is only slight operational wear around the Bolt. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are clean. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions as intended. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
