Markings: Left side of the barrel is marked “44 REM MAG” Left side of the receiver is marked “740-00651 RUGER 77/44” with the Ruger Logo. Barrel is marked “BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM STURM, RUGER & CO. INC., SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A.” The top of the rear of the bolt is marked “SAFE”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a flip up U notch sight with a single white diamond below the notch. The top of the receiver has a scope rail. The scope rail has a mounted Leupold VARI-X III 1.5X5. The sight picture is clear.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a checkered walnut full length stock with traditional checkered and capped pistol grip, straight comb, 2 sling studs, and rubber buttplate. The stock rates in Very Good condition. The LOP is 13.75″ from the front of the trigger to the end of the buttstock. There are no chips or cracks but there are some depresstions. The checkering is crisp.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows very minimal wear. There is only slight operational wear around the Bolt. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are clean. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions as intended. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
