Markings: Left side of the barrel is marked “.243 Win.”  Left side of receiver is marked “711-48868 RUGER M77 HAWKEYE”. Barrel is marked “WARNING – BEFORE USING GUN READ INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM RUGER NEWPORT NH USA”.  The scope is marked “NIKON PROSTAFF RIFLESCOPE” on the side.  The bottom of the scope is marked “Nikon PR31 4-12×40 MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES”.  The floorplate is marked “RUGER” with the Ruger Logo.    The buttpad has a Ruger Logo.

Sights / Optics:  There is no provision for iron sights. The receiver has dovetail mounting rails and factory dovetail scope rings.  This rifle is equipped with a NIKON Prostaff PR31 4-12×40 Matte NP Riflescope in Excellent condition.  The sight picture is crisp and clear.  It comes with its factory box, owner’s manual/paperwork, and lens covers.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The stock is checkered polymer with traditional capped pistol grip, sling studs, hinged magazine floor plate, and rubber buttpad.  The action is bedded in the stock.  Overall the stock rates in Excellent condition.  The checkering is crisp and the peaks are sharp. There are no chips or cracks.  There is no visible handling wear.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99%  of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal wear.  There is some grease residue on the chamber and receiver.  The screw heads are sharp. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions as intended. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its serialized factory Ruger Box, chamber lock and keys, owner’s manual, its attached scope with its factory box, lens covers, and owner’s manual.  The boxes and accessories all rate in Very Good condition with some loose storage wear.  Please see photos for a better understanding of this LOTs condition.
