Markings: The right side of the frame is marked “48-62710”. The left side of the frame “RUGER .45 CALIBER NEW MODEL BLACKHAWK”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM / RUGER, NEWPORT, NH USA”. The 45 Colt cylinder is marked “RUGER 1896 REVOLVER BISLEY MODEL”. The back of both cylinders are marked with an “S” proof.
Barrel Length: 5.5″
Sights/Optics: The front sight is a black serrated ramped blade pinned to a base fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a black square-notch leaf in a base pinned to the topstrap and is adjustable for elevation and windage.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth laminate wood panels with inset Ruger phoenix logo medallions. There is almost no visible wear. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Excellent condition.

Cylinders: This pistol includes an Engraved 45 Colt cylinder and a fluted 45 ACP cylinder.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are a few minor nicks in the finish. The 45 ACP Cylinder has a very faint turn line, the 45 COLT cylinder has a turn line but it is barely visible. The screw heads are sharp and the pins un marred. This pistol is in overall Excellent Condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinders lock up with light side to side play. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This pistol includes the original plastic case, Owner’s Manual, Two x cylinders, and a spent 45 Colt case with info card.
