Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “RUGER MODEL NINETY-SIX / 620-36886”. The left shoulder of the barrel is marked “Green Mountain / Rifle Barrel Company, Inc.”. The right barrel shoulder is marked “.22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire”. The scope is marked “REDFIELD”, REVENGE”, “4-PLEX”.

Sights/Optics: The top of the receiver is mounted with a Redfield Revenge 4-Plex Rifle Scope with Duplex Crosshair Reticle. The sight picture is clear.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one-piece smooth wood with semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and rubber recoil buttpad. There is a stock band that has been removed on the forend to accommodate the barrel. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 14 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition with only light handling wear.
Type of Finish: Blued, Black
Finish Originality: Original to parts.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is erosion concentrated near the muzzle and then scattered about the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 6/10.
Overall Condition: This Ruger Ninety-Six retains about 95% of its metal finish. The barrel has taken on a light plum hue. The barrel has a scattered minor handling wear There is some general operation wear on the action. Screws and controls are free of any notable wear or damage. All markings are clear. There is some rust on the scope rings. Overall, this rifle rates in Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. There is a cross-bolt safety through the trigger guard bow and a brass loaded chamber indicator. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This rifle comes with its factory 9 round rotary magazine.
