Our Assessment: The Ruger No.1 Single Shot Rifle 100th Anniversary Edition is a highly collectible and limited edition rifle that was produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. in 2006 to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the .30-06 cartridge. Only 500 of these rifles were ever produced, making them highly sought after by collectors and firearms enthusiasts alike.
The Model 11321 is patterned after a No. 1 that was auctioned off for nearly $10,000 at the 2006 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, with engraving designed by Master Engraver Paul Lantuch. The new offering features a fully engraved blued receiver with intricate scrollwork, and is marked “1 of 500” in gold on the bottom of the receiver. The left side of the receiver features a gold Ruger Eagle logo, a pair of gold stars, and the dates “1906-2006”, while the right side of the receiver is adorned with a gold wreath surrounding a gold .30-06 round with “Centennial” on both sides of the cartridge.
The Ruger No.1 Single Shot Rifle 100th Anniversary Edition also features a gold bead front sight and a folding, adjustable leaf rear sight mounted on the rail that also serves as the scope mounting base. The rifle is shipped in the familiar white cardboard box with a complete set of dependable, bulletproof Ruger scope rings that engage the base and hold like they’re a permanent part of the rifle.

Markings: The left side of the chamber is marked, “30-06 SPRG”. The top of the barrel is marked, “BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM STURM, RUGER & CO. INC., SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A.”. The bottom of the receiver is marked, “134-18161 / 1 OF 500”. There is a circled PR proof mark on the left side of the chamber. The top of the receiver is marked, “RUGER No. 1”. The left side of the receiver is marked, “.30-06 1906-2006”. The right side of the receiver is marked, “CENTENNIAL” with a bullet pictogram inbetween.
Barrel Length: Approximately 22”.
Sights / Optics: The top of the receiver has a rail with scope ring provisions and currently has two scope rings attached. The front sight is a beaded blade. The rear sight is a u notch buckhorn sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered walnut with traditional pistol grip, straight comb, sling stud in the bottom of the buttstock, and rubber buttpad. There is a small mark near the sling stud but other than that the stock is free from any handling wear. The checkering is crisp and the peaks are sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13.5″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lever lockup is strong. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
