Markings: Left front side of the receiver marked with Russian letters along with several proof marks. See photos for close-up images. Also along the left side of the receiver marked with serial number “H08436787”, “CANrA-12” and “MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZHMASH”. Right side of the receiver is marked RUSSIAN AMERICAN / ARMORY COMPANY SCOTTSBURG, IN”, “SAIGA – 12 12/76”, “18,3” and “S” and “F”. The BCG has a matching serial number “787”.
Barrel Length: 19”. 20.25” with fixed muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a front post atop the gas block and rear notch sights dovetailed to the piston tube. Also offers an optic mounting rail on the left side of the receiver. The optic mount is mounted with a picatinny rail adapter with with UTG Grip Panels on the side position and an L3 EOTech Sight on top. The EOTech sight is non-functioning. Even with new batteries it will not turn on.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is a tubular folding stock with rubber buttpad. The pistol grip is polymer with storage compartment. The hand guard is a picatinny tri-rail with UTG Grip panels on all three positions. The bottom rail has a Folding Vertical Foregrip with a Flashlight activation pressure plate. The left rail is mounted with a Flashlight. The right rail has a sling swivel. The LOP measures 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttstock. The stocks rate in about Very Good overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are some small nicks on the buttstock as well as light scratches.

Bore Condition: The bore is dark. There is no visible erosion but there is a good amount of carbon buildup. Needs a thorough cleaning.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows scratches, scuffs, and scrapes throughout. There is some finish loss on the scope rail. The flashlight and grip button function correctly. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with a total of one SureFire 8rd 12 Gauge Saiga Magazine and its attached Scope rail and EOTech Sight.
Our Assessment: This semi-auto shotgun was named after the saiga antelope, an animal almost as rare as these Russian import firearms. Built on the traditional Kalashnikov-style rifles, this sporterized firearm can become a simple defense tool or just a sweet range toy. This shotgun, with its detachable magazines, offers speed and sturdiness, even if some might say the Saiga format is a little finicky.
