Sights / Optics: The front sight is a standard AK post with protective wings, The rear has a railed TWS Dogleg dust cover with a Hi-Lux 4-16×44 scope. The scope has a mil-dot/BDC cross.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has a four piece wood stock set with a bulged forend, serrated plastic pistol grip, and sloped comb buttstock with a cheek riser and semi-curved steel buttplate. The stock has some pressure dents and scuffs. The pistol grip is scratched. There are no chips or cracks. Overall this stock set rates at a Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is light operational wear and some scratches on the barrel. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in at Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Saiga AK-308 is a variant of the famous AK-47 rifle platform, designed and manufactured by the Russian company Izhmash (now Kalashnikov Concern). Unlike traditional AK rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm or 5.45x39mm, the AK-308 is chambered in the larger 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester) cartridge, hence its designation.
The AK-308 retains many of the design features that have made the AK series of rifles legendary: a rugged and reliable gas-operated, rotating bolt system, a stamped steel receiver, and a simple and robust construction that allows for easy maintenance and operation even in adverse conditions.
As with other AK variants, the Saiga AK-308 features a detachable box magazine, typically holding 10, 20, or 25 rounds of ammunition. It also retains the AK’s distinctive pistol grip and safety selector lever, as well as the signature curved magazine.
