Markings: The receiver is fine rose and scroll Purdey style engraved. The right side of the receiver is marked “Diplomat P”. The top tang is marked “5157803” with “S” and “F” for the safety. The bottom of the receiver is marked “SAUER-FRANCHI” with a Sauer Logo. The right side of the upper barrel is marked “LUIGI FRANCHI SPA-BRESCIA-MADE IN ITALY / CAL. 12/76-3”-CHROM MOLYBDAN-GEWEHRLAUESTAHL / X”. The left side of the barrel is marked “SAUER-FRANCHI-Diplomat P- / CAM.76 18.4” with a proof. The left side of the lower barrel is marked “KGI.460 18.4” with a proof. The bottom of the lower barrel is marked “SIGARMS INC. / Tysons Corner – VA”. The bottom of the monobloc is marked “5157803”, “AP”, “PSF” with several proofs. The inside of the forend is marked “803”.
Barrel Length: 29” With Ventilated Rib.
Choke: Adjustable. Comes with a set of Briley S-1 Lead Only chokes including: FULL, LMOD, IMOD, IC, SKT, with choke removal tool.
Sights / Optics: There is a silver colored bead on top of the checkered ventilated rib.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with forend, straight comb, semi-pistol grip and serrated polymer buttplate.There are no chips or cracks. There is no notable handling wear. The LOP measures 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. Overall, the stocks are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are very bright. They appear unfired. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 10/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no operation wear. This shotgun appears unfired. Overall, this shotgun is in about Like New condition. The only imperfection on this shotgun is on the inlay on the bottom of the grip that has tarnished with age.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up to the receiver with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with its Emmebi Itay Combination lock takedown case in Very Good condition with some light storage wear and its choke kit as mentioned above.
