Markings: The tang is marked “B2077”.The top of the barrel is marked “Shiloh-Sharps Model 1874” and “CALIBRE 45  /  21/10”. The left side of the receiver is marked “SHILOH RIFLE MFG. CO. BIG TIMBER, MONTANA.”.

Barrel Length: 30” Heavy Octagon Barrel.

Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with a fire blued Globe front sight with a circle post insert and spirit level. The rear sight is a flip-up ladder sight marked from 2-8 with a small notch buckhorn sight when the ladder is folded down. Both front and rear sights are dovetailed into the barrel. This rifle also includes a MVA tang mounted Vernier Style micrometer rear sight with a Mid Range 3.5” Staff with 2.5” of adjustment.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is a two piece smooth “Fancy” walnut. The buttstock is a full pistol grip with checkered curved lower tang, straight comb with cheek piece, and has a case colored checkered buttplate with fire blued screws. The handguard features pewter tip smooth forend with fire blued screws. The wood on this rifle has no visible handling wear that this writer could see. The color case hardened buttplate has no wear. The LOP measures 13.75″ from the front trigger to the back of the buttplate. The Furniture rates in Excellent to Like New overall condition.

Type of Finish: The barrel is blued and the receiver, lever, buttplate, tang and hammer are color case hardened. All the screws, tang sight base, and globe sight are fire blued.

Finish Originality: All Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is almost no handling wear or wear from use on this rifle. The screw heads are undamaged and sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent to Like New condition.

Mechanics: This rifle has double set triggers, which function correctly. The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle includes the wooden shipping box, a leather tang sight holder, and a padded soft case.
