Markings: The top of the receiver is marked, “U.S. RIFLE 7.62MM M-14 NM SMITH ENT.  003002”.  The right side of the front sight is marked, “NM 072”.  The right side of the barrel is marked, “HART 1X10X6GR.”.  The right side of the receiver is marked, “MESA. A4.”.  The left side of the scope mount is marked, “SADLAK INDUSTRIES LLC USA / M14 U.S. RIFLE”.  The scope is marked, “7.62mm 168gr.”.  The bottom of the scope is marked with a serial number and QR code.  The side of the scope has Leupold Logo.

Barrel Length: 24.75” inches with flash hider. 22” without.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a National Match blade between two protective wings. The rear sight is a National Match NM/2A rear hooded aperture sight.  The receiver is mounted with a SADLAK INDUSTRIES picatinny scope mount with attached Leupold 7.62mm Scope.  The sight picture is clear and the reticle is crisp.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is brown sand textured synthetic with high gloss.  The LOP measures 13 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The buttstock features a hinged buttplate that revelases a trap door for storage compartment. There are no chips or cracks in the stock.   The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition. There is some finish loss on the buttplate and there is a scuff on the right side of the stock on the forend.  The receiver has an M14 Scope mount attached and is fitted with a Leupold 7.62mm Scope.  The barrel is a beautiful HART stainless steel barrel. The buttstock has a USGI M14 Stock Cheek Weld Pad.  The rifle also has a brown Nylon sling attached.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is clean and sharp. There is no notable erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light scratching on some of the metal parts.  The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions as intended. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
