Markings: The yoke cut is marked “DPE0486 / 19-9”. The Crane is marked with inspection marks. The Left side of the frame is marked with the Smith and Wesson Performance Center Logo. The left side of the barrel is marked “PERFORMANCE CENTER”. The right side of the barrel is marked “S&W .357 MAGNUM”. The right side of the frame is marked “MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADA SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. The bottom of the butt is marked “DPE0486”.
Barrel Length: 3″ PowerPort vented barrel.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a gold colored serrated ramped blade with a tritium lamp insert, pinned on a ramped base that is integral to the rib. The rear sight is a square notched leaf in a click base that is adjustable for windage and elevation screwed to the top strap. The tritium lamp glows brightly in a low light environment.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This pistol comes with Two sets of grips. The installed grips are two-piece wood grips. They show almost no signs of wear at all and are in Excellent Condition. The second set of grips are Smith and Wesson factory synthetic rubber grips that are marked with the Smith and Wesson logo. They show minor signs of use and wear and are in overall Very Good Condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. Some minor fouling is present on some of the lands of the rifling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some small draglines from storage. There are some surface scratches on the hammer and trigger. The checkering on the hammer spur is sharp. The cylinder has a thin but visible turn line. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent Condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double-action trigger is smooth and the single action is extremely crisp with zero overtravel. The cylinder lockup has been tuned and has minimal side-to-side play on all chambers. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards. This pistol has the internal lock mechanism built into the frame.
