Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”. The left side of the slide has the S&W trademark logo. The left side of the frame is marked “10648  /  MODEL-41”. The right side of the barrel is marked “22 LONG RIFLE CTG”. The right side of the slide is marked with the four-line “Marcas Registradas” address. The bottom of the magazine is marked “S&W”.

Barrel Length: 7”. 8.5” with the muzzle brake.

Sights / Optics:  The front sight is a Partridge undercut blade integral to a rise at the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch adjustable for windage and elevation and is pinned to the barrel “tail” which continues over the slide to the rear of the firearm. The top of the barrel is matte finished with a line of checkering for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The grips are two-piece checkered wood with a palm swell on each panel, and ambidextrous thumb shelves screwed to the frame.  There are a few scattered light handling marks throughout the wood. There is an extremely small chip on the backstrap on the grip that is hardly noticeable. The checkering is sharp. There are no cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp.  There is no erosion in the bore. The feed ramp is smooth. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition:  This gun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There is light operational wear. There are light surface scuffs and lines throughout the finish. The front strap serrations have lost most of their finish. The tip of the left slide arm has some surface rust. The top of the barrel has a few small patches of surface rust as well. The cuts in the muzzle brake have some carbon build up. The grip screws are sharp.  The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Very Good condition for C&R.

Magazine quantity & Condition: This pistol includes one 10 round .22LR S&W magazine in excellent condition.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly. The trigger is very light and crisp. This pistol has a manual thumb safety and magazine disconnect. We did not fire this gun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
