Our Assessment:The Scout RFR is a biathlon-style rifle that features a straight-pull toggle lock action for quick manual operation. The design of the toggle lock also prevents the bolt from protruding from the receiver during the cycling process. The rifle is equipped with a polymer stock that has a 30-slot Picatinny rail for forward-mounted optics and a 3/8″ dovetail base for conventional scopes. The stock also has SBS/Scout buttplate spacers for adjusting the length of pull and an option to store a knife with a sheath and mounting bracket.
The rifle has a 20″ heavy barrel that is attached to an Eloxal-coated aluminum receiver and is threaded in the .22 LR and .17 HMR models for attaching accessories. It has a 10-round detachable magazine for ammunition and an ambidextrous safety mechanism in the trigger guard.

Sights / Optics: The top of this rifle has a picatinny rail over the forend and two scope mounting bases over the receiver for optimal scope and optic customization options.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is Black Polymer with traditional pistol grip, rubber buttpad, and sling studs. There are some light scratches on the left side of the stock over the receiver. The stock rates in overall Fine Condition.

Mechanics: The action functions as intended. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. Ambidextrous safety on trigger guard.
