Our Assessment:  The Ruger No.1 Single Shot Rifle is a classic American firearm that was first introduced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. in 1966. The rifle was designed by William B. Ruger, the founder of the company, and was intended to be a modern version of the classic single-shot rifles that were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Ruger No.1 is a break-action rifle that features a falling-block design, in which the breechblock is hinged at the front and falls downward to expose the chamber for loading and unloading. The rifle is available in a wide variety of calibers and configurations, and is known for its accuracy, reliability, and simplicity of design.

The No.1 has undergone several changes and updates over the years, including the addition of a tang safety in 1978 and a new hammer design in 1983.

Today, the Ruger No.1 remains a popular choice among hunters, target shooters, and collectors who appreciate its classic design and reputation for quality and reliability.  This vintage 1977 No.1 Rifle is chambered in the classic 7×57.  Please see our photos on this vintage rifle and good luck on your bid!
