Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition:  This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are a couple of light marks on the frame, the most noticeable wear is a couple of little scratches on the front of the trigger guard. The cylinder has a faint turn line. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double-action trigger is smooth and the single action is crisp. The cylinder has very little play side-to-side on each of the six chambers. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories:  This revolver comes with a Kolpin Soft Pistol Case.

Our Assessment: This is a Smith & Wesson Model 16-4. The K-32 Masterpiece was discontinued in 1974, but was reintroduced in 1989, chambered for .32 H&R Magnum with a full under-lug barrel. There were only about 8,800 of these revolvers manufactured from 1989-1992 in 4″, 6″ and 8 3/8″ barrels. This example of the K-32 Masterpiece has an 4” barrel, combat grips, and little signs of use. This would make a great addition to any Smith & Wesson or general revolver collection and with so few made, you won’t see these every day. Please see our photos and good luck! – L.S.
