Our Assessment:  If you need a reason to own a M3A1 Semi-Automatic Carbine from Valkyrie Arms, here’s the best: iconic lineage. This is a modern semi-automatic version of the iconic World War II M3 submachine gun aka the “Grease Gun”. These firearms were simple and cheap to make but they earned a reputation of reliability and sturdiness. The nickname Grease Gun comes from the firearms resemblance to a mechanic’s lubrication tool. The M3 became the standard postwar submachine gun for the US Army, used through Korea, Vietnam and even as recently as the Gulf War. Many other countries still use this firearm. Valkyria Arms uses as many original GI parts as they can in building their modern replicas, but their SA/M3-A1 was designed with the sporter market in mind. This firearm is a compact little gun made from steel, so it’s hefty too and not at all fragile. We don’t exactly recommend chucking this unit off a cliff and then seeing if it will still operate, but it definitely feels like a gun you could do that to. As it is, it’s a little harder to get one’s hands on a functioning, legal WWII vintage Grease Gun these days, so the next best thing is this modern semi-automatic version from Valkyrie. With its magazine and authentic style, this is a great find. Buy this firearm and you’ll be holding history in your hands in no time. Whether you want to have a great time at the range or bolster your reenacting game, ya have to bid on it first!  Please see specs below, our in house photos, and good luck on your bid!
