Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is some thinning at leading edges of the slide and frame. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw head is sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This pistol is equipped with a slide mounted safety/decocker. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a two-piece cardboard Walther box with serial-matching label, manual, serial-matching test target, indicator pin tool and a total of two 6-round magazines, one with flush metal floorplate and the other with a brown plastic pinky-extension floorplate.

Our Assessment: The Walther PP series has long been a popular option for civilian, law enforcement, and even military pistols. The PP was just small enough to be convenient, but large enough for a service pistol.  “PPK” is an abbreviation for Polizeipistole Kriminal (literally “police pistol, criminal”), referring to the Kriminalamt crime investigation office. While the K is often mistakenly assumed to stand for kurz (German for “short”), as the variant has a shorter barrel and frame, Walther used the name “Kriminal” in early advertising brochures and the 1937 GECO German catalog. The Walther PPK is a well designed handgun, this particular variant takes .380 ACP ammunition. This PPK was produced for Interarms in 1968 and is in Excellent condition, appearing to have spent more time in the included factory box than out. Please see our photos and good luck!
