Markings: On the top of the tang it is marked “ K242246’ On the right side of the barrel it is marked “Model 101 winchester 20 gauge 2 ¾ 3” New Haven USA Full” with an winchester proof on the left side of the barrel it is marked Made in Japan” and “P20”
Barrel Length: 28” With Ventilated Rib.
Choke: The top barrel is marked full and the bottom barrel is marked Modified
Sights / Optics:There is a brass bead at the front of the rib. The top of the rib is finely checkered to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition:The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with finger-grooved semi-beavertail forend, straight comb, capped pistol grip and checkered black hard rubber Winchester buttplate. The stocks have a few scattered minor compressions and handling marks. The Lop is 14” from the trigger to the center of the back Buttplate. The drop at comb is about 1 1/2″, drop at heel is about 2 1/2″ The stocks rate in about Very Good-Fine overall condition

Bore Condition:The bores are bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish.There is little to no finish loss on this firearm only showing some operational wear near the safety. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about fine condition
Mechanics:The action functions correctly including ejectors. The barrels lock up to the receiver with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The iconic Model 101 is a shotgun with legendary styling and handling and the unquestionable reliability you expect from Winchester firearms. This is a 28″ barrel example chambered for 20 Gauge 2 3/4″ and 3″ shells choked Improved full over Modified. Showing very little use and still having assembly lube on the action this would be an excellent addition to any shotgun collection or gun collection for that matter. This gun is solid with bright bores and strong mechanics. It will make a fine hunting or sporting shotgun. Please see our photos and good luck!
