Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “-WINCHESTER MODEL 70 264 WIN MAG ONLY- / -WINCHESTER IS A REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF OLIN CORPORATION-”. The top of the barrel is marked with an ovalled “WP” proof. The left side of the receiver is marked “WINCHESTER / -MADE IN U.S.A.-”. The right side of the receiver at the chamber is marked “35CZY11156”. The floorplate is marked, “SUPER GRADE”. The right side of the barrel is marked, “MODEL 70 SUPER GRADE MADE IN U.S.A. BACO INC., MORGAN, UTAH”. The buttpad is marked, “Decelerator”.
Barrel Length: 26″ round.
Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope base provisions. Only the rear hole is filled.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered walnut with a capped traditional pistol grip, monte-carlo straight comb, black rubber Decelerator buttpad, and sling studs front and rear. There is a very light scratch on the right side of the buttstock but other than the rifle is clean of any visible scratches. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips, cracks, or nicks. The LOP measures 13.75″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The pad has no visible wear. Overall, the stock is in Excellent condition. The Bolt is a Control Round Feed Bolt which is a Pre ‘64 style bolt.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. This rifle is in near pristine condition. There are some faint loose storage marks. The bluing is gorgeous and free of any visible wear or thinning. The top of the receiver has a faint mark from a previously attached weaver rail. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This rifle employs a push feed bolt. The safety is mounted at the back of the bolt on the right side. It has three positions. Pushed all the way forwards, the safety is off and ready to fire. In the middle position, the safety blocks the trigger, but allows the bolt to be opened for loading and unloading. In the rear position, the safety blocks the trigger and the bolt. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original factory box complete with original owners manual and paperwork as well as its red chamber lock and Winchester plastic gun sleeve.
