The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The M1 Carbine is one of the gallant heroes of World War II. Used by American troops in both theatres, it was the smaller more ergonomic cousin to the M1 Garand Main Battle Rifle. The M1 was produced by everyone from Winchester to General Motors. After World War II, the M1 Carbine would go on to serve US forces in Korea and Vietnam, becoming one of the most famous US battle implements.  This beautiful M1 Carbine is one of those serviced in South Korea after WWII and then imported back into the U.S. in the 80’s and 90’s.  Making an already rare breed all the more historically rich and desirable.  It was first produced shortly after the Bataan Death March when family members of lost soldiers in Bataan came to help Standard Products Company increase production rates for the front lines.  This could be a critter gun, a range gun, or a truck gun thanks to its compact yet powerful build.  Please see our photos, specs below, and good luck on your bid!
