Markings: Right side of the receiver is marked “MDL N-PAP DF CAL. 7.62×39”, “FIRE”, “SAFE”, “Read Owner’s Manual Before Use C.A.I. GEORGIA VT”. The bolt is marked “NPDF006463”. The left side of the receiver is marked “NPDF006463 MADE IN SERBIA ZASTAVA SERBIA”.
Barrel Length: 16.5” Threaded with removable slant muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post and the rear sight is a “U” notched tangent marked from “1-10” and “O” for the battle position.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The handguard is light elm wood with three cooling slots on each side. The buttstock is an under-folding metal stock with sling attachments and a synthetic pistol grip. There is minimal wear to no handling wear. The LOP measures about 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the unfolded stock. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition. There is a mark on the bottom of the handguard from the buttplate rubbing against it when folded.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some light scratches on the dust cover and some minor rub marks. Other than that this rifle is nearly pristine. The screw heads are sharp and serviceable and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: If any firearm is begging to be taken out and broken in, this is it. This Zastava N-Pap DF is solidly built and all of its equipment and parts are tight. Whether you want a small and compact AK-pattern gun or a full length rifle, this gun and its underfolding stock allow for both. Its modern production does mean that if you just need a Kalashnikov type rifle to bang around, you won’t feel guilty about it.
